The 19-year-old has been named the inaugural recipient of the council's Megan Dalley Award. The award was created in honour of 19-year-old Megan Dalley, who was killed in November 2007 in a car accident on the Princes Hwy between Kiama and Gerringong. An apprentice mechanic at Kiama council's works depot since 2006, Mr Quinn received the award for his work performance, attitude and TAFE course results. My parents are really proud."Megan Dalley had worked as a Kiama Municipal Council customer service trainee for a year before her death and was recognised as an exceptional employee with a promising future. The award and a cheque for $1000 will be presented on an annual basis to Kaima council's best-performed trainee or apprentice.
